Singapore Flyer
The Singapore Flyer is a 165 meter ferris wheel from which you can get the best views of Singapore. Its appearance is very similar to the London Eye of London, but its height is 30 meters greater.
The ferris wheel was opened to the public on March 1, 2008, surpassing in height the Nanchang Star (in China) by 5 meters. The center wheel of the Singapore Flyer measures 150 meters in diameter and has 28 compartments for 28 people each. It was the highest Ferris wheel in the world until 2014, when it was surpassed by the High Roller of Las Vegas.
During the 30 minutes of the tour you can see the main points of interest of Singapore and even, if the day is favorable, neighboring countries like Malaysia and Indonesia.
If you visit Singapore during the Grand Prix of Formula 1 (late September) you should know that the circuit passes through the feet of the Ferris wheel. What better day to ride in the Singapore Flyer than the Sunday of the race?
Although the image from the Ferris wheel is similar to that obtained from Mount Faber, the views of the bay from the sea surpass those that are obtained from the interior of the island.
